Keeping your pension information secure

22/10/2026

Aptia is introducing a new way for members to verify their identity when accessing Aptia OneView. This includes upgrading to a modern security standard that helps protect personal information against fraud, while providing a simpler and faster registration and login experience.

From 23 November 2026, new and existing users will be asked to complete a one-off identity check using Yoti, a secure identity verification service used by many organisations across the UK. This will help protect members' pension information and reduce the risk of unauthorised access.

Here's what changes once the new security goes live:

  • Setting up an account: New members will create an account and complete a one-off Yotiidentity check, taking just a few minutes on a phone or computer and replacing the need for posted activation codes.
  • Existing members: Existing members will be asked to create new login details and complete a Yotiidentity check the first time they log in after the change goes live.
  • Logging in: Members will sign in using their email address, password and multi-factor authentication (MFA).

There's nothing you need to do right now. You can continue logging in as normal or register using the activation code provided in your welcome letter. Aptia will be sharing further information ahead of the launch and will provide guidance and support materials within OneView from 23 November.
